Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 13th World Congress of The International Academy of Human Reproduction which will take place in Venice, Italy, on 5 – 8 March, 2009.
Every third year we organize a World Congress in order to sum up advances in human
reproduction, to share our ideas and opinions, and to have the opportunity to gather with
Fellows of the Academy.

The President of the Congress, Professor Andrea Genazzani and his team, will
organize a program of the highest caliber and quality. This Congress will be
distinguished by panels which entertain medical and scientific perspectives,
discuss our advances, and consider various ethical and technical aspects in
reproductive medicine and women’s health.
We look forward to meeting our Fellows and spending time in the majestic city of Venice, where fantasy and science may interface.

I am now honoured to invite you all again in this marvellous Italian city to participate in the 13th World Congress on Human Reproduction organized by The International Academy of Human Reproduction.
Venezia represents the beauty of Italy all over the world. This enchanting city appears to be floating on water, veiled in ethereal fogs, built on hundreds of small islands joined by bridges giving a general sight of wonderful canals, narrow streets and tiny archways connecting
ancient building and sidewalks, and making everybody breath a magical atmosphere.
Over the years many major artists have been inspired by Venice giving birth to their
masterpieces in music, architecture, literature and figurative arts, and therefore I felt this was the perfect location to hold a World Congress on Human Reproduction and its related topics.
